Born in the UK, I’ve been travelling the globe for over 30 years. I’ve spent more than five years on the road, visiting over 70 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and the South Pacific. Along the way I indulge my other great passions: music, good food, and fine beers and wines. I’ve been based in the Dutch city of Eindhoven since 1994.
I’m the author of three books
- The Bradt Guide to Luxembourg (2008, 2012 & 2014 - also available as e-book)
- Around Amsterdam in 80 Beers (2010 & 2015)
- Beer in the Netherlands (2014, with comprehensive 2016 supplement)
I’ve also researched and updated several chapters of Fodor’s Travel Guides to: Amsterdam & the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Essential Europe
